Guidelines for Conduct

Each Youth Seminar is designed to be a gathering where the Holy Spirit and angels can join us in our activities and fellowship together. These few guidelines are meant to help us maintain that type of atmosphere, and ensure the well-being of each attendee.

  • Each staff member, group leader, and chaperone is due your courtesy and respect. Please make their job easier by cooperation when they give instructions.

  • Your group leader is responsible for you during the Seminar. He or she must know where you are at all times.

  • Everyone is expected to attend the meetings, as well as each activity. When assigned kitchen duties or cleaning duties, you will perform them dutifully.

  • No leaving the premises except by permission and accompanied by an adult.

  • Quiet time in the evening is to be respected and observed. This means that everyone will be quiet and in their rooms during times posted.

  • Girls’ rooms are off-limits to boys, and vice versa.

  • Youth are encouraged to form many wholesome friendships at the seminar. But we must remember that the main purpose for attending is to obtain a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. For this reason, close boy-girl relationships are not considered appropriate.

  • Please plan to dress modestly and bring clothing suitable for activities. Appropriate attire is modest skirts, dresses, and jumpers for girls; pants and shirts for boys. No shorts, tank tops, or sleeveless items for either. Girls are not to wear pants unless under a dress. Be sure to bring your Sabbath clothes.

  • Please keep in mind that this is a program run by the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement and the principles of the church will be upheld at all times.
