Because He Lives

Join us for an exciting event! Do you enjoy music and spending time together with other youth? Whether you’ve honed your musical talents for years or are just getting started, this event will feature something for you! 

“Because He Lives” we can face each day with a brighter outlook and a song in our hearts. God, the Creator of beauty and the Author of music, encourages us as His children to learn the language of Heaven. The Virginia Conference Music Department is organizing this music retreat as a special time set apart for collaboration and learning. There will be choir, instrumental ensembles, workshops and more, all culminating in a sacred concert at the beautiful chapel of the GC Educational Center.

Regardless of whether you play an instrument or not, this event is designed for you. Participate in the choir, improve your singing, and enjoy spending time with other musicians! Or maybe you’re an up-and-coming artist who’s been learning an instrument? You’ll get the challenge of preparing music in the course of a couple days and have fun participating in a group ensemble! Perhaps you’re a music leader in your local area? You’ll be encouraged by collaborating with other advanced musicians and especially in the conducting workshop. Everyone is sure to learn something with the expert direction of brother Isaac Terceros. 

This music retreat is being held, May 28 - June 1st in Roanoke, VA. Pricing, including meals and accommodations is a modest $150 per person. We’re even offering family discounts: when 3 family members attend together, it’ll be $140 each; and when 4 family members attend, it’ll be just $130 each.
